My son, Jude, had a runny nose for most of the day but no other symptoms, and we put the Owlet monitor on him at bedtime as we always do. Red notifications started going off around one in the morning. He appeared fine when we checked on him, but after notifications continued going off it prompted me to check his temperature and we realized it was shooting up. When we got to the ER they confirmed his oxygen levels were dropping dangerously low every few minutes, due to RSV. Two weeks later he got out of the hospital, and I don't think I could have ever slept after that without the Owlet. I love that we were able to discover how well the Owlet worked when we needed it most, even when we didn't realize it.
I will say the very first night we used it, it took several tries to get the monitor placed correctly. But if you take time to really pay attention to the instructions and explanations of how the monitor works, it is manageable, and I haven't had an issue with placement since then!
