Our First Red Notification

Our First Red Notification

Our daughter was born full term with no known medical conditions. She has always been a healthy baby, but we chose to purchase an Owlet Baby Monitor because there is always a need for extra peace of mind when it comes to infants.

We had been using the Owlet Smart Sock since our daughter was a newborn and she was now 10.5 months old. The Smart Sock never showed anything other than “Normal Readings” on the app, but that night, we were notified due to low oxygen. We rushed in to wake her and afterwards put her back to sleep because nothing seemed to be wrong.

After going back to sleep ourselves, we were woken up by a second notification of low oxygen. This prompted us to take her to the ER where they confirmed that our daughter had low oxygen along with RSV and bronchiolitis. Since we caught our daughter’s sickness early, she did not need to be hospitalized. We were able to treat her symptoms at home and she fully recovered.

Thank you Owlet for creating this product. We recommend this product to any new or established parents. We will be using it for as long as we have children and our children have children!
