"Our son had a virus and respiratory issues a few months ago. Anytime he is sick, I put our Owlet Dream Sock on to monitor him. It’s given me peace when I’m unsure if we should wait until morning to see a doctor. This time, it caught something that I couldn’t see or hear. When I’d lay him down to sleep, his oxygen would drop to 83%. When he was awake, his oxygen levels were in the 80-90% range. I decided to take him to the ER.
In the hospital, we saw the oxygen levels in the 90% range initially but I told the ER doctors our Dream Sock readings showed his oxygen would drop when he was asleep. Sure enough, when he fell asleep, his oxygen tanked and kept going down to 79% until we woke him up. A few minutes later, he fell asleep and it tanked again.
He was given supplemental oxygen to provide breathing support and was admitted and monitored closely. I’m so glad our Dream Sock gave me the necessary information to decide when to go to the hospital." - Katie T.
