Who we are
We're parents first.
We've spent more than a decade building baby safety technology. Now we want to work alongside others in the field and share what we've learned.
“Owlet has spent more than a decade holding products to our own safety standards, which have always been higher than those set by the industry, as evidenced by our commitment to pursue the rigorous FDA clearance process. Over the years, the SUIDS rate has not changed, and in some years, has actually increased despite safe sleep guidance. There is a clear gap between understanding, implementing, and upholding infant safety standards, and that is why we’re launching this task force. Closing that gap requires a coordinated effort across industry leaders, providers, and families.”

Questions, answered.
What is the Baby Safety Task Force?
A group of brands, retailers, healthcare providers, and advocates working together to improve baby safety through innovation, education, and advocacy.
Who can join?
Leaders in baby safety: educators, healthcare providers, parent advocates, advocacy organizations, retailers, brands, and manufacturers. Membership is by application, and you don't need to sell anything or be an Owlet partner. Experience counts.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. There is no cost to join the Baby Safety Task Force.
What will the Task Force actually do?
We're starting with three priorities: nursery safety education, infant safe sleep awareness, and product innovation. Specific working groups and commitments will be shared with members.
Is this only about Owlet's products?
No. The Task Force is about raising the bar across the whole category.
How are members selected?
Every application is reviewed by the Task Force team. We look for a commitment to safety that goes beyond compliance, expertise or lived experience you're willing to share, and support for clear, evidence-based guidance for parents.
