Why is Owlet supporting SIDS research?
Owlet is joining forces with parents across the world to bring an end to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Sudden Infant Unexpected Death (SUID), which includes SIDS, claims the lives of more than 3,000 babies each year in the U.S. alone1. The rate of SIDS is on the rise in the U.S.2 – making it one of the leading causes of infant mortality3. Despite this, there is minimal education, funding, and attention for this global health crisis.
We believe no baby should die unexpectedly in their sleep—which is why we work with parent-led organizations around the world to support and raise funds for SIDS research and awareness.
During October in honor of SIDS Awareness Month, 100% of proceeds from Nursery of Hope tree seedlings will benefit SIDS research and awareness.
Is the donation of a tree tax-deductible?
Owlet Cares is not recognized by the IRS as a qualified organization, so a Nursery of Hope tree purchase is not tax-deductible. 100% of proceeds of donations go towards purchasing a Nursery of Hope tree for a loss family, and will be distributed directly by partners of the Owlet Cares program.

If I purchase a tree for myself or a loved one, when will I receive it?
Nursery of Hope seedlings purchased through our website will be sent by a third-party, The Jonsteen Company. These purchases are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable. The variant you receive will be hand-selected based on your location. Instructions for planting as well as a product guarantee will be provided by Jonsteen. Trees will be received within 14 days of placing your order.
