"Our journey with Ílian began with his D-Transposition of the Great Arteries (d-TGA) with a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) diagnosis during pregnancy. He was born on September 18, 2025, and was immediately transferred to the CICU at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

Although most babies with this condition require surgery shortly after birth, Ílian was stable enough to go home before his operation. We were discharged with a hospital-grade monitor, but the constant alarms due to his low oxygen levels and the inability to adjust the settings created even more anxiety, especially when trying to sleep.

After his open-heart surgery, we were able to get a prescription for the Owlet BabySat sock monitor. Being able to monitor his oxygen levels and pulse rate from home, with accurate and customizable alerts by my son’s doctor, gave us a whole new level of reassurance.

For the first time, we were able to rest knowing that if the alarm went off, it meant his pulse rate or oxygen fell outside prescribed ranges and something needed our attention.

Owlet gave us something invaluable during our transition home: peace of mind." - Jessica C.
