How to Get a Prescription for BabySat®
The Owlet BabySat® monitoring system is the first pulse oximeter featuring Owlet’s advanced, wire-free sock design for in-home monitoring of infants with medical needs. Prescribed by healthcare providers, BabySat uses advanced technology to monitor pulse rate and oxygen saturation alerting caregivers if readings deviate from physician-set ranges tailored for their infant’s condition, empowering them to confidently care for their little ones at home.
Conditions
BabySat requires a prescription and is intended for babies who could benefit from additional monitoring at home, under the supervision of a physician due to ongoing medical needs. Indications for BabySat often include babies with underlying Cardiac or Respiratory conditions.
If these or similar conditions are relevant to you, talk to your healthcare provider to see if BabySat is right for your family. To request a prescription, follow the simple steps below.
How to Get a Prescription
Step 1: Talk to your Provider
Schedule a visit with your pediatrician, family doctor, or pediatric specialist to discuss your infant's needs. Let them know why you believe BabySat is the right option for your baby, especially if your reason is related to the relevant conditions listed above.
Step 2: Be Prepared + Share Your Concerns
Bring any relevant information about your infant's health, such as medical records or test results. This helps, especially if you have a new relationship with a medical provider, and helps your doctor understand your baby's situation better.
Step 3: Get the Prescription
If your doctor agrees BabySat is the right option, they will write a prescription for you.
Step 4: Get BabySat
Once you have your prescription, reach out to our Medical Equipment partner, Adapt Health.
